This was a pilot show, filmed on Swan Lake by Pic Two Productions. Dan's guest was John Francisco.

John and Dan had a lot of fun doing this show. It was tough fishing, but with some kidding around, and a few somewhat decent fish, they pulled it off.

1st Place TV AGLOW Award
Brad Mosier and Dan filmed a show about fishing with mulberries, with guest Clayton Meyer. The show took first place in the 2008 AGLOW Awards for Best of Fishing in TV.
1st Place Radio AGLOW Award
In 2004 the Dan's Fish 'N' Tales radio show took first place in the AGLOW Awards for Best of Fishing.

For a few years in the 90's Johnnie Crain, Dan and Don Banning traveled the Midwest conducting seminars at sports show as the Fish 'N' Tales Seminar Trio

Johnnie and Dan were both on the Fish Formula Pro Staff. As such, they worked at WalMart Stores on special appearances.

After Don left the trio Johnnie and Dan continued as a two-man team, picking up shows throughout the Midwest, including the UniDome.

After Johnnie started becoming more ill Dan continued as a one-man show, which he did a lot anyway, and still does today.
